Hello fellow Microsoft Professionals...
I've deployed a two server solution at my client's server:
- RD Web, RD License Server, RD Session Host
- 1x RD Session Host, RD Broker Server
TS Web Computers and TS Broker is well configured on local users and groups in each node. So when I enter into RDWA and get logged on, I can only see applications added in RemoteApp of Node 2. I have checked Event Viewer and found this an ID 1010 which stands for WMI not being able to communicate:
Access to the WMI interface on Remote Desktop Session Host server <MyServer> was denied. Add the Remote App and Desktop Management computer to the TS Web Access Computers security group on <MyServer>
Remoteapp Connection Management Server is the service that delivers that message.
According to this Technet article http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc772214.aspx RDWA needs not be installed along with RDSH server.
The question is: Is this definitely the cause of WMI connection failing?, I'm wondering if the architecture is failing at this point and needs another server in order to work correctly.
It's worth mentioning I've done all the troubleshooting steps shown on here: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ee891251(v=ws.10).aspx
And the cause I've done this architecture is because I used this guide for RDWA, which doesn't explicitly tell it cannot be installed with a RDSH in the same server.
I am urged at this, very urged, I will gladly thank whoever has gone through this can help me or definetely tell me the bad news.
Regards.
