How hard is it to setup a remote desktop to print to your local printer (xp pro on rdp)

Look,  I have spent the last six hours trying to figure out this stupid TS inactive port error,  and the inability to see my local printers on my rdp.  It is not a big mystery why you get the TS inactive port error.  Because you are setting the port to one of the TS00x on the printer you think you have to setup.

Here are the proper steps:

1)download the drivers for your local printer onto the remote desktop
2)Install a printer on lpt1 using the drivers you downloaded to c:\where ever your drivers are
3)Log off the RDP
4)Edit your RDP properties on the local resource tab check printers
5)Log back in
6)Go to your printer tab and test the printer.

Wow,  I can't believe no one has documented this.

It is so simple.
