We currently use a 3rd party product called Dameware to allow us to connect to a Win-XP or Win-7 box as a console. In this case we simply "jump on board" with the user and can watch what they're doing and take control of the mouse and keyboard if necessary.
We're embracing using Remote Desktop Connection Manager for all of our non-console connections (servers and workstations), but would love to be able to use the "Connect as Console" setting for all of our other workstations. Unfortunately it doesn't behave as Dameware does. It locks the other user out and lets us take over their desktop. We absolutely need the ability to 'share' the desktop and watch what they are doing. I tried all sorts of switch on/off combinations in RDCM to no avail. Is there a way to do this, or are we basically out of luck?
