Is there a reason why CALS purchased from Dell don't seem to work and CALS purchased directly from Microsoft work?
I have spent a few days trying to get the Cals from Dell to be issued to users but have not been successful, as a test
I purchased the same number and type of cal from Microsoft and they installed, became available and were issued.
CALS from Dell are only installed but not available or issuing. Below was the only error in the RD Licensing Diagnoser.
The diagnose information I would get is " the remote desktop session host server is in per device licensing mode
and VM redirector mode, but license sever -------- does not have any installed license with the following attributes:
Product version: Windows server 2008 or windows server 2008 R2
Licensing mode: per device
license type: RDS CALS, VDI standard suite licenses or VDI premium Suite licenses.
