I am aware that you can use the GPO for do not use Easy Print first but this does not solve my issue. I have a program on my TS that sends the "code" to a zebra label printer directly and needs to bypass even the Zebra print driver. On our old 03 TS we
were able to let it redirect the printer and pull in the Generic / Text driver like the client PC uses. So far on the 2008 R2 RD/TS I haven't been able to get it to pull in or use the Generic / Text Only driver. It uses the Remote Desktop Easy Print driver
every time for every printer no matter what I try to do it seems like. The only way I found around this is if I add all of my users to the admin group and use the mstsc /v:server /admin command which will disable easy print for that session. Obviously it isn't
a good idea to add everyone to the admin group though so this isn't a solution... Basically, I have the GPO set to Disabled for the Use Easy Print Driver First but it STILL pulls in the Easy Print Driver. I need to completely REMOVE or DISABLE TS Easy Print.
I already changed the GPO and that does NOT work for some reason. I need the Generic / Text Only driver for these Zebra printers that are attached to the client machines. The only way I see getting this done is by removing Easy Print. I have NO use for
Easy print as I have other means of printing for regular paper print jobs. Please help... Thanks in advance.
