Hi
I have installed Remote Desktop Services on a Windows 2012 Server. When I use the Remote App control panel item in Windows 8 it cannot access the remote apps because it complains about an SSL certificate error. However if I use the web access and ignore the certificate warning then I can access the remote apps. How do I fix the certificate problems so that the Remote App item in the Windows 8 control panel will work. All the error message says is to contact the system administrator. When I setup the Remote Apps on the Windows 2012 server it did not mention anything about SSL certificates but it appears that it created a self signed certificate. I would have expected the Windows 2012 setup to have configured everything properly. I must say with all the changes from previous versions of Windows I have had more problems setting up Remote Apps than any previous version. Initially I could not even setup remote apps because it kept complaining that a server restart was required. After numerous restarts that did not fix the problem I uninstalled everything and started again. I thought everything was working properly until I tried to access the remote apps from the Windows 8 control panel and then I ran into this new problem.
Thanks
Simon
