Environment Information
Server: Windows 2008 R2 SP1 Enterprise (fully patched)
Desktops: Windows 7 SP1 Enterprise x64 (fully patched)
Users' information: All our users have roaming profiles and folder redirection enabled. Users in sales offices use RemoteApp (a.k.a. Terminal Services) to access our accounting application; these are the only users who are experiencing the issue explained below.
Problem:
Users connect to the accounting application, via terminal servers, and towards the end of the day they log off their computers. The next day, their roaming profile is replaced by the terminal server profile. In other words, their roaming profile desktop has icons for Outlook, Word, Excel, etc on the taskbar; these icons disappear and get replaced with the PowerShell icon and Server Manager icon from the terminal servers (also all their mapped printers disappear).
Is there a way to prevent the terminal server profile from overwriting the user's roaming profile?
