Hi All
After researching remotapp services offered by Microsoft I have a few questions to clarify exactly what will be required in order to accomplish the following:
In a nutshell
I require my clients to be able to connect remotely via the internet to an application hosted on a my companies server. My clients must not have access to a full remote desktop but only to the application (to limit internet speed & bandwidth requirements)
Multiple/Unlimited Instances of the application can be executed simultaneously over a network (this has been tested over our companies local area network)
As I understand in order for my clients to be able to access the application remotely over the internet from their desktops/laptops/tablets I need the following
Windows Server 2012
RD Session Host
RD Gateway
RemoteApp Service
CAL licenses per client/user
-------
What software requirements & Licensing requirements will be needed for the following?
10 Clients:
Need to be able to launch the application (simultaneously) from their personal desktops/laptops/tablets remotely via the internet from my companies server
When they open the application it will remain open on their desktops until they close it
Once they have closed the application it immediately closes on the servers side as well
According to my research the above is all possible what I am mostly confused about is the licensing aspect:
Do you need a license per client for windows server and for the remotapp/remote desktop service or only one license for windows server 2012 and a separate different license for each client connecting remotely to the application.
Thank you for any assistance
