Note: please read the entire description, it is not a Lync topic, this is RDP topic
Dear all,
I have a Windows Server 2012 Standard Edition. It runs Lync server 2013, and I have also installed a Lync 2013 client on it. I need to do some call quality checking, using the Check Call Quality feature built into the Lync 2013 client. I connect to the server via Remote Desktop client (remote management has been enabled on the Windows 2012 server, however no Terminal service role/feature has been added sofar).
What do I need to do, to receive the microphone and the speaker of the server to my local Windows 7 workstation, where I have attached the audio device for the actual voice input/output? Are there specific requirements for the RDP client running on my Windows 7 workstation? The Windows server 2012 is running on VMWARE, if that matters.
I have already set up the RDP connection to capture the microphone and the speaker, I have started "Windows Audio" and "Windows Audio Endpoint builder" services, but I still see the error message in the Lync 2013 client, that no audio device has been recognized.
Any help is greatly appreciated.
