Ok can anyone explain me what happened here:
I have a laptop running windows 8 pro. Remote desktop was activated, so i tried connecting to it from my normal work-pc.
It didnt work. So i tried connecting to it from my windows server 2012 and it opened an RDP connection. The connection worked but was very unstable. All 10-15 sec i had a glitch of a few seconds or a reconnect to the RDP Session.
Later the day I remembered i forgot to open the RDP port on McAfee firewall on my laptop.
After that RDP worked flawlessly from all my computers (obviously)
So can anyone explain me how Windows Server 2012 managed to build up a "rather unstable" RDP connection to the Laptop when the firewall wasnt open for the RDP port? Very strange isnt it?
