I have RDP's set up for a business that has several locations. All of the RDP's were working fine - each location could remote into all other locations. After installing a new Cisco gigabit router in one location (call it location "A"), another location with a very close static IP (call it location "B") could not remote in, nor could "A" remote into "B". However, all other locations can still remote in to both of them (as well as the remaining locations), and both of them can remote out to anywhere Except Each Other.
I believe that it has something to do with their IP's being only 4 digits apart, ex: 32.34.5.15 & 32.34.5.19 - but they worked until the new router was installed. It is a Cisco RV180 VPN router. Location "B" has a Netgear FVS318, although it shouldn't matter. Is there a setting issue ? We traced the ping from one to the other out 8 hops but then it timed out.
I will be installing an RV180 @ location "B" within a few days and may just need to set up the VPN for communications, but I'm hoping someone has the solution ... thnx
