Hi
I have built a 2012 remote desktop session host server for around 15 users. I installed Office 2013 Standard 32bit for these users. When users open Outlook (every time) they receive a MS Office 64bit Components 2013 wizard, it looks like it completes,
but happens every time. The server is patched correctly with both Windows & Office updates. This does not happen with Word or Excel etc.
Also, once Outlook is loaded and running, the performance is terrible. I have two test accounts I have used, these mailboxes are empty with the exception of a few messages for testing purposes, so the mailbox is tiny. I have disabled all Add-in's
and tried again, but still the wizard happens and the performance issue happens. The only add-in that runs with the Microsoft Exchange Add-in.
If I tick Use Cached Exchange Mode on one of the test user mailboxes with only a few messages in it, the performance is great, but the wizard still happens each time Outlook loads. But using Cached Exchange Mode will eat more space up on the virtual servers
hard drive, I don't really want to use it in this setup. This server is located in the same environment as our Exchange 2010 server.
Any thoughts?
Thanks
