We started having voicemails delivered to user's Inbox. The voicemails are WAV files. When trying to play the WAV file via Terminal Services, Media Player crashes with the following error.

Log Name:      Application
Source:        Application Error
Event ID:      1000
Task Category: (100)
Level:         Error
Keywords:      Classic
Description:
Faulting application wmplayer.exe, version 11.0.6002.18311, time stamp 0x4c8e2d72, faulting module D3D9.DLL, version 6.0.6002.18005, time stamp 0x49e03705, exception code 0xc0000005, fault offset 0x00119401, process id 0x582c, application start time 0x01cd92aa02fa532e.

Even the system WAV files (chimes.wav, etc) will not play through Media Player. MP3 files play fine in Media Player.

If I go into "Change system Sounds" & click the Test button by an action that is associated with a sound it plays. If I change one of the system sounds to use the voicemail WAV file it plays too!

OS: Windows Server 2008 SP2 x86

Thoughts?
