RemoteFX not working - 2012r2

Hello All,

I didn't want to create another question about this, but I searched technet and didn't find an answer.

Issue: RemoteFX is not working.
I'm testing this in a desktop prior to moving to an HP blade system to see if we need to get GPUs or not.

Hardware:
CPU: Intel i7-3820 (supports SLAT which Microsoft calls ExtendedPageTables)
RAM: 64GB @1600
GPU: Nvidia Geforce GTX 670 (Supports DirectX 11.0 and latest drivers bring WDDM 1.3)

Software:
Windows Server 2012r2 with Hyper-V and Virtualization Host role.
VMs (all Generation1):
- 2x Ws2012r2 (One with RemoteFX and one without it)
- 2x W8.1 Enterprise (One with RemoteFx and one without it)

All are in the same domain.
Ws2012r2 with RemoteFX sees a new device but it's unable to find the drivers.
W8.1 with RemoteFX sees the new device as "Microsoft RemoteFX Graphics Device - WDDM"

I've put each VM through the following 4 tests playing an HD HTML5 youtube video:

1) Connect through Local Console
2) Connect through RemoteDesktop
3) Connect through Local Console with GPO enabling RemoteFx
4) Connect through RemoteDesktop with GPO enabling RemoteFx

The only difference is between the W8 with and without RemoteFX, and it's not a real difference as you can see bellow:
W8.1 without RemoteFX:   VM CPU: 98% - Host CPU: 13%
W8.1 with RemoteFX:        VM CPU: 85% - Host CPU: 25%

So it reduces CPU usage by a 10% in the VM but increases it in the Host, so it endups been the same.

RDP client is connecting using UDP, and RemoteFX logs on the RDP client show:
"The RemoteFX Manager successfully negotiated a protocol with the virtual machine ....."

So I guess at least the "bandwidth reduction" side of things should be working.

So... Any ideas about what should I try next or better yet, why it's not working?

Thanks a lot!
Ed
