Internet Explorer 9 slow through RD Gateway.

IE8 was fine, but after upgrading to IE9, users connecting through RD Gateway (external network users) is experiencing slow performance on IE9 only.  Scrolling is choppy.  We did not have this issue with IE8.

If this is due to the hardware acceleration, how can we turn this off for all users in an RD environment?  There is no Group Policy setting that I can find.

All other applications such as Outlook, Word, etc is fine.  Users connecting to our RD environment internally (bypasses RD Gateway and connects through Connection Broker directly) is also just "ok".  It's not as fast as IE8, but fast enough for most users not to notice the performance difference (although I can definately see/feel the difference).  It's still slightly choppier than before (when it was IE8).

All servers in the RD environment are Windows 2008 R2 running on 2x Quad Core Xeons with 8 GB of RAM.
