Launch application with login script

With Server 2008 R2;

Using Remote Desktop I am able to generate RemoteApp that will launch an application when the user logs in and if user closes the application it will log him off the server. The user does not have access the the Remote Desktop client settings.

So far so good and this allows me to control well remote users that are using Windows computers.

Now I want to support remote user on different platforms (ie. Linux) I can again provide a Remote Desktop client and setup the application within the client configuration but in this case I am not able to prevent the user from changing the client RD settings so if the user clears the application settings he will login to the server's desktop.

What I am trying to achieve on a per user Remote Desktop session hopefully via a local (server) login script is this:

1 - Remote Desktop User logs in

2 - a login script launches an application (and stays active)

3 - If the user decides to terminate the application the login script will log out and terminate the session.

Is this possible?

Mike
