Hi,
We have a RD Session server on a Server 2008 R2 Enterprise. Recently, we had a lot of complaints from users that some pdf files or pictures are taking too long to show on their screen. UNfortunaltly, with my tests too, some type of pdf files (image files) are loading slowly on the screen. Part by part... Samething with scrolling!
Now i've got some suggestions from experts to try the same files on different systems, like the new Windows Server 2012. Apperantly with the new RDP client version 8.0, the user experience has been increased. After trying the same files under a Windows Server 2012, we did not see any remarkable changes in terms of performance.
another advice was to try the RemoteFX technology. Now, before I go ahead and setup a Hyper-V environement with RemoteFX technology, I thought that it would be easier to ask around here. Maybe you folks can already tell if it's the right technology to achive this goal.
Is remoteFX really helpful for PDF and image files or it's only affecting the 3D graphics of a RDP session?
If you need examples, or more details, I'm ready to provide you anything it takes for a clear answer.
Thanks in advance for your answers.
