Hello,
First of all, I'm a rookie and it may be difficult to understand my problem description. Here are my parameters:
- My internet connection is based on ADSL router
- My internet connection has a Static IP address which is assigned to the router itself
- My PC is connected to this router, receiving a LAN IP address from the router's DHCP. The IP I receive from the router is usually 192.168.1.2 ,(when my mom is not connected on to the wi-fi).
- I have a local Domain created on VMWare using windows server 2012. I have 2 domain controllers which have ADDS and DNS installed.
- My domain controllers are bridged to my physical network connection.
- I have bought a domain name on http://www.onlydomains.com/. This website has a control panel in which I can delegate my own domain name servers.
The result I wish to have is:
- You, or any1 with an internet connection, can connect via remote desktop to one of my DCs. I want this because I'm trying to simulate a real environment where employees can access my servers worldwide and I get to administer their accounts and accesses to my DCs database.
- Is it possible for a virtual domain to be accessed from the internet ? or do I must have a dedicated physical server ?
The things I already tried:
- I delegated my dc names with my router's static IP on onlydomains.com
- I tried IP routing in the router's cp to point incoming traffic from the internet to my actual physical PC connection
- I tried delegating my router's DNS with dc names on onlydomains.com
- This is giving me a headache right now...
- ...
Thanks.
