Extending Data Drive(D) which is 1 TB already on windows 2003 Ent

Hi ,

I got a request to extend Data Drive(D) to extend it 200 GB more which is already 1 TG, Since its alreay 1 TB, the new 200 GB is allocated as a new drive ,and the existing D drive is basic one.

Now the plan is converting the existing D drive and the new drive  to Dynamic , and creating a spanned volume would be the plan?

or you guys have any other Idea please share with me....Thank you.
